Specialty importer and distributor Empire Bespoke Foods has gained listings for Mike and Ike theatre box candy with Hancocks.

The range comprises four different variants of boxed sweet, with each 141g pack having an RRP of £2.99.

The Mega Mix Theatre Box contains blong fruit-flavoured chewy candies loaded with 10 fruity flavours, including Caribbean punch, grape soda, and mango delight. 

The Original Fruits Theatre Box, which was established over 80 years ago, comprises cherry, lemon, lime, orange and strawberry flavours.

Mega Mix Berry Blast is a combination of five mouth-watering flavours including wild berry, blue raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, and peach berry.

Mega Mix Tropical Typhoon is jam-packed with five tropical candies including paradise punch, kiwi-banana, Caribbean punch, strawberry-banana and mango.

Meanwhile, Mike and Ike Mega Mix 816g bags will be available in Costco. The bags (RRP £8.59) contain 10 flavours of sweet, including Caribbean punch, strawberry-banana, paradise punch, grape soda, kiwi banana, mango delight, watermelon, pineapple banana, peach berry, and blue raspberry.

Mike and Ike were first launched in the 1940s by third generation family-owned candy manufacturer Just Born, located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

“Unfortunately, the UK market is plagued with American candy imports from businesses that may be bypassing food hygiene, labelling and traceability laws that can leave a sour taste in consumers mouths.”
