Salad brand Florette is looking to shake up the fresh category with its Energy Boost and Superfood Smoothie Mixes.

Florette’s new Smoothie Mix range provides customers with an innovative and easy way of preparing a tasty and nutritious smoothie. The Smoothie Mix comprises a prepared bag of mixed salad leaves and vegetables, as well as a sachet of seeds and dried fruit. Consumers just need to add in fresh fruit and juice and blend until smooth. Florette’s Smoothie Mix range offers two flavours.

The superfood mix contains spinach, beetroot, carrot and ruby chard with a sachet of sunflower, pumpkin and hemp seeds with dried blueberries. The brand suggests adding half a mango and 275ml of pomegranate juice in the blender.

The energy boost mix includes beetroot, spinach, baby kale and ruby chard with a sachet of sunflower and flax seeds and dried cranberries. The brand suggests adding a handful of raspberries and 300ml of cranberry juice in the blender.

Rebecca Walker from Florette says: “Consumer research shows shoppers are now more health conscious than ever – but making healthy choices can be particularly difficult to fit into a busy lifestyle. Smoothies aren’t new, but for consumers with a hectic lifestyle, thinking about what ingredients to buy can be a hassle.

“Our insight found that consumers are looking for tasty options that are fresh, convenient and nutritious – and our Smoothie Mix range is just that. Our expansion into the smoothie market presents the opportunity to reach a new audience, who may not have tried our products before, as well as offering exciting new options for existing consumers.”
