Kidease has launched two new on-the-go chickpea and quinoa snacks for children.

The new puff snacks in single foil packs are breaking the mould of traditional 100% corn based puffs by adding plant-based protein, chickpea and quinoa.

The new product will first be available in two flavours; Carrot, Tomato, Herbs and Spices; and Beetroot, Carrot and Parsley

Kidease is the new sibling brand to Babease, a premium, vegetable-led food for babies introduced at the end of 2015.

Approved by expert nutritionists, the new snacks follow the Babease brand’s ethos of creating foods that never contain added salt or sugar. Naturally high in fibre and protein, both new products are also gluten and dairy free.

Tom Redwood, professional chef and founder of Babease and Kidease, has created all recipes to be healthy and stimulate tiny taste buds.

He said: “We are really excited to add Kidease to our growing family. Our new range of nutritionally-balanced, delicious products will be based on all-natural, savoury ingredients for children aged one and above.

“We believe in championing savoury options as both a snack and mealtime mainstay; we really want to play a role in combating childhood obesity and sugar addiction. By actively encouraging little ones to build a preference for savoury tastes, there’s a far greater chance they will be open to healthier snacks and meals and turn away from choosing more sugary alternatives.”

Focused on vegetable-led weaning, Babease includes no hidden fruit or water fillers. The brand prides itself on having the tastiest baby food on the market – good enough for all ages to enjoy.
