BOL, which launched its range of plant-based food pots back in April, has now added a three-strong range of chicken pots.

The protein-rich pots (rrp: £3.99), which are said to be ideal for either lunch or dinner, can be cooked on the hob or in a microwave in a matter of minutes.

The recipes include Keralan Chicken Curry, which is chicken cooked in a black pepper and coconut sauce, layered with cauliflower rice and topped with a beetroot ‘thoran’; Jamaican Jerk Chicken, a blend of pulled chicken, sweet potato, mixed pepper, corn and pineapple on a bed of black barley and peas; and Kansas BBQ Chicken and Quinoa, which combines pulled barbecue chicken with lightly pickled red cabbage slaw and mixed quinoa and black rice.

Paul Brown, BOL’s founder, said: “Our veg pots have been incredibly popular and we’re pretty sure that you’ll be delighted by our new protein additions. An increasing number of us are now eating in less defined ways – we don’t eat meat every day, nor are we veggie. We hear you. The BOL range is a fuss-free and simple way to enjoy delicious food that’s just wholesome and full of goodness – meat or no meat.”
