Barr has unveiled two limited edition flavours with sensory experiences set to roll out from September for 12 weeks.

Sour Sensation Apple & Cherry offered a “fruity fusion with a zesty kick of sourness”, while Cool Sensation Blue Razz offered a “fruity blue raspberry with a smooth, cooling finish”, said brand owner AG Barr.

Both variants from the limited ‘Sensation’ range will be available in 500ml £1 PMP and 2L plain packs with an RRP £1.99.

The new flavour combinations aim to appeal to both adults and the younger generation. They were developed against “growing trends” and “hope to tap into consumer demand that gravitates towards more complex textures and tastes”, said AG Barr.

“We know that our limited editions are a big incremental sales driver for retailers, not only for the flavours themselves but for the wider Barr Family range. Last year, 82% of Barr Limited Edition sales in one retailer came from new shoppers to the flavoured carbonate category,” said Annette Yates, Barr brand director at AG Barr.

“These limited editions are more than taste, they are a sensation, delivering a head cooling or tongue curling mouthfeel element on top of amazing fruity flavours.”

A suite of PoS will be available to create theatre and drive sales.

Rubicon RAW Snowboarding On Pack 2025

Meanwhile, AG Barr’s other soft drink brand Rubicon Raw is rolling out an on-pack promotion from mid-September.

One winner will take home VIP tickets to Snowbombing Festival, which will take place in Austria in April 2026. The VIP ticket includes access to the festival, accommodation and ski passes.

There are also hundreds of runner-up prizes to be won.

The promo will roll out on Rubicon Raw’s Raspberry & Blueberry, Orange & Mango and Apple & Guava variants and shoppers can enter via scannable QR codes on packs.

“Our partnership with Snowbombing Festival offers shoppers a chance to win a truly special experience. For retailers, it’s an impactful promotion designed to boost sales and profits,” said Lisa McKenna, Rubicon brand director at AG Barr.
