PayPoint has released a new app that enables retailers to process parcels directly from their mobile device.
The Collect+ StoreScan app, which is available on iOS and Android, allows retailers to scan or key in parcels from delivery drivers and customer collections.
The app means retailers no longer have to process parcel transactions solely via their PayPoint terminal, helping to free valuable counter space and reduce customer waiting times.
PayPoint commercial director, Lewis Alcraft, said: “We are always looking for ways to innovate and enhance the range of services we offer to our convenience retail partners.
“StoreScan is a great addition to Collect+; it gives retailers the flexibility and freedom to handle parcel transactions away from the counter, all from the convenience of their mobile device.”
The app, which has been designed based on feedback from retailers offering the Collect+ service, is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
