Alabare MADL Nisa Local Salisbury

The Nisa Local store in Rowbarrow, on The Crescent in Salisbury, has donated £500 to local charity Alabaré, supporting its Health & Wellbeing programme in young people’s homes and parent and baby homes.

The donation was made possible through Co-op Wholesale’s Making a Difference Locally (MADL) charity, which helps independent retailers give back to their communities.

The Health & Wellbeing programme funded by the donation will deliver a range of activities designed to improve confidence, develop life skills and encourage positive social interaction. The sessions focus on personal growth, teamwork and resilience, providing essential support for young people and parents navigating challenging circumstances.

Alabaré supports thousands of people every year across England and Wales, helping those who are homeless or vulnerable to overcome barriers and move towards the life they choose.

Gemma Snell, young people’s wellbeing lead at Alabaré, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Nisa Local Rowbarrow and Co-op Wholesale’s MADL charity for this generous donation. The Health & Wellbeing programme makes a huge difference to the lives of the young people and families we support, giving them the tools and confidence they need to move forward.”
