The company says the drink has been developed after extensive customer research and is made from English apples with a more mellow taste. It also has a lower abv of 4.7%.
New can and pack designs feature an apple tree icon, a revised Blackthorn logo and a 'Made in the West Country' tagline.
The relaunch is supported by a 'Black is Back' campaign focused on the South West and including outdoor advertising, sports sponsorships and sampling activity.
