Spar at NCS

Convenience symbol group Spar is exhibiting at the National Convenience Show (NCS) in Birmingham from 24-26 April.

Run in association with Convenience Store and sister title The Grocer, NCS is the must-attend event for all in convenience retail and forecourt seeking the best symbol supplier, equipment, and guidance on how to boost profits.

Along with experts in convenience and forecourt retailing, Spar will also speak at the retailer forums, and there will also be networking opportunities for delegates attending NCS to meet company representatives from all over the UK at their stand EE311.

Ian Taylor, Spar UK retail director, said: “We are delighted to be back exhibiting at NCS. We have a lot to show independent retailers looking to join Spar. We have been focused on costs, our customers, and providing profitability for our independent retail partners. Our strategy lies in the strength of our brand, stores, own label, focus on costs and investment into data and we are delivering margin and profit for all our retail partners. We remain focused on increasing our retail footprint with the support of our RDCs who continue to invest in retailers and stores.”

He is speaking at the Symbolising UK Convenience panel session at 11:45 at the NCS The Retailer Hub on Monday 24 April, alongside Nisa Retail managing director Peter Batt and One Stop head of franchise John Miller. The session will be hosted by Convenience Store editor Aidan Fortune.

Last year Spar announced a £122m investment into supporting the growth of the business.
