Police are appealing for witnesses after CCTV footage was released of a man wanted in connection with a robbery at a convenience store in Surrey.
The robbery took place at Tongham Food and Wine on Oxenden Road, Tongham on July 20.
A man entered the Premier store shortly before 4.20pm and demanded the member of staff open the till, threatening her with violence, before making off with around £200 in cash.
The suspect left the store through the main exit, and is believed to have run across Oxenden Road and into Carfax Avenue.
The man is said to be white, in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately 6ft tall and of a slim build with blue eyes. He was wearing distinctive light blue jeans, a dark Puffa-style jacket, a black balaclava and dark shoes.
Commenting on the investigation, Surrey Police detective constable Richard Pegden said: “This was a frightening incident for the member of staff. Thankfully, incidents of this nature are rare, but I would like to remind shop staff to always put their personal safety first.
“There is a strong possibility the suspect is local to the Tongham area, and I am appealing for any drivers who were using the Oxenden Road around this time, or anyone with any information, to contact police.”

When approached by C-Store, Tongham Food and Wine declined to comment on the investigation.
