Oxford Brookes University’s student village has welcomed the launch of its on-site Nisa Express store, just in time for the start of the new academic year.

The store, managed by Stephen Dickinson, first opened its doors this summer to serve residents and staff. Now, with Freshers’ Week approaching, the team is preparing for an official launch on Monday 15 September, designed to welcome new and returning students to campus life.

The launch event will include supplier activations and sampling from brands including Fever-Tree, a £2-off a £10 spend coupon for use during the first two weeks of term, and a ribbon-cutting led by the Oxford Brookes Students’ Union President.

Stephen Dickinson said: “We’ve designed the store around what students really need - quick, affordable meal solutions, strong availability across essentials and reliable convenience every day of the week.

”It’s been fantastic to build the foundations over the summer, and we’re now looking forward to welcoming the wider student community during Freshers’ Week.”

While retaining its familiar student village identity, the store benefits from a significantly enhanced range, including Co-op own brand award-winning food for now and for later lines, providing greater choice, quality and value through their partnership with Co-op Wholesale.

Located at the heart of the village, the Nisa Express further strengthens the convenience offer across the university estate. The Freshers’ Week launch is expected to drive high footfall and set the tone for the store’s first full academic year of trading.
