A new roadside service station and convenience store has just been launched in Stowmarket, with an EG on the Move forecourt combining with Co-op.
Known as EG On the Move Stowmarket, the new site is located on the A1308 Needham Road, and is the latest new store launch by EG on the Move working in partnership with Co-op.
It represents the first to launch following some trial locations last summer, with the plan to launch further sites later this year.
Open 24-hours and operating as a franchise, Co-op’s store brings “great quality food, deals and promotions to the forecourt,” it says. There’s also self-service Starbucks coffee on-the-go, bakery products and hot food, alongside a focus on quality fresh, chilled and healthy produce, it adds.
Martin Rogers, director of partnership development at Co-op, said: ’We’re delighted to be working with EG On The Move on our latest site, developing a compelling convenience food offering as our partnership looks to expand.
“We’re focused on scaling our franchise business, and this is the first site to open together following our successful trial, and we’re exploring more locations for joint growth.”
Zuber Issa, CEO of EG On The Move, added: “As a trusted, quality, convenience retailer our partnership with Co-op aligns with EG On The Move as an acknowledged petrol forecourt and convenience retail destination operator.
“We’re delighted to collaborate on our latest site. Our work with Co-op enhances our convenience store offer, ensuring our customers have access to exceptional fuel retail services including EV charging and a wide choice of premium grocery products and essentials.”
