In support of its sponsorship of Scottish rugby, Tennent’s Lager has revealed a new limited-edition gift pack.

The packs, which include two 568ml pint cans and a commemorative glass, have an rrp of £10 and are available from Scotmid; JWF (Keystore); and United Wholesale Scotland (Day Today) stores now.

As the official beer of Scottish Rugby, 25p from the sale of each gift pack will be donated to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. Set up by Scottish rugby player Doddie Weir - who was recently diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) - the foundation raises funds to aid research into the causes of MND and investigates potential cures.

Norman Loughery, off trade sales director at Tennent’s, said: “We are proud of our recently renewed partnership with Scottish Rugby and are excited at the team’s prospects for the forthcoming Autumn Tests. Our limited-edition Scottish Rugby gift packs will engage fans as we look forward to a month of world-class rugby.

“Twenty five pence from every pack will be donated to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, which continues to do incredible work in supporting research on Motor Neurone Disease. It is a cause that we are delighted to support, and one that resonates widely with rugby fans.”
