With a promotional launch price of 50p and a regular rrp of 75p, Ambrosia Puds come in six varieties with either Ambrosia Devon Custard or Ambrosia Creamy Rice. The new flavours have been designed to give a modern twist to Britain’s most loved puddings.

Category marketing director Caroline Jary said: “Our new Ambrosia Puds range will modernise the mid-week pudding occasion, taking proper puddings into the twenty first century and providing consumers with a convenience format that fits into their busy lives. This launch will help to drive excitement into the category and ultimately incremental category growth.”

According to Nielsen data, the ambient aisle is currently visited by 49% of consumers every four weeks, less frequently than chilled (72%); but within ambient desserts the individual sector is driving total category growth, highlighting the potential to drive footfall and growth with the right products, for the right consumers
