Nurofen is spending £4m on promoting Nurofen Express across the course of the year.
The promotional campaign runs from now until August, with a total of six months airtime on TV.
The campaign will run across TV, print and advertising on trains and the tube, as well as social media, and includes a video playing across the London Underground to grab the attention of commuters.
Headache is currently the largest pain occasion in the UK, with about 80% of people suffering from tension-type headaches from time to time. The campaign aims to enlighten consumers about the source of their pain by telling them that the real cause of tension headaches is actually the muscles in the head and neck when they get strained, with Nurofening targeting the source to provide faster headache relief.
Nurofen Express 256mg 16s tablets have an rrp of £3.56.
