Detectives are appealing for information after what it called a “wilful fire-raising” of a Day Today convenience store in the Pollok area of Glasgow.
Around 1.40pm on Sunday, 21 December, the force said it received a report of a fire at the premises on Ladymuir Crescent in the city.
Emergency services attended and the fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, but thankfully no injuries were reported.
Reports say that two men were seen exiting a black Audi A6 at the scene before approaching the premises.
Detective Sergeant Scott Hawkins said: “We are appealing to anyone in the area who may have witnessed anything suspicious around this time to get in touch.
“I’d also ask that anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage review this and see if it has captured anything of significance, in particular the Audi that was seen outside the premises at the time.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1525 of 21 December.
Alternatively, information can be passed on anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
