Magnum Tonic Wine is set to introduce the same label design for the UK and Jamaica.

Currently, the label in the UK is orange, while the original green label is sold in Jamaica.

The refreshed label would take its inspiration from the original green design and would strengthen standout on shelf and the brand’s connection to its heritage, said Magnum.

The different packaging in the UK and Jamaica has resulted in misconceptions about the authenticity of Magnum sold in the UK, despite it always containing the same liquid, it said.

Mandeep Singh of Singh’s Premier, Sheffield, said the two different labels were “causing confusion among consumers”.

”I’m looking forward to this change and will be promoting it via my socials, as Magnum has been a massive winner to all our stores,” he added.

By enhancing visual consistency between the UK and Jamaica, the brand said consumers will be able to recognise the product as the same authentic drink enjoyed in Jamaica.

The new green label will roll out in UK stores this week, meanwhile, Jamaica is set to introduce the change in April.

“The differing packaging requirements in the UK and Jamaica have resulted in Magnum Tonic Wine having two distinct labels. We’re excited to unify the visual identity of our product in both markets, eliminating any confusion and reinforcing its authenticity,” said Pavel Smith, marketing manager at Campari.
