Bolero Winery has secured UK distribution for its exclusive label aimed at London’s premium independent retail sector.

Its range is being launched in partnership with CN Foods, a London-based distributor specialising in premium independents.

It includes three wines - a red and white, both with an RRP of £12.95/750ml, and an orange wine with an RRP of £15.95/750ml.

The labels were designed to stand out on-shelf and to appeal to “curious, younger” wine drinkers, said Bolero Winery.

The range will target over 1,000 Greater London independent retailers, including 250 larger-format premium stores, it added. Several larger-format stores would have access to two wines from Bolero’s acclaimed Qvevri Range - Qvevri Saperavi and Qvevri Khikhvi - each with an RRP of £19.95/750ml.

“It’s so exciting to hear of yet more milestones for Georgian wines in the UK,” said Sarah Abbott MW (Master of Wine), who heads up Wines of Georgia’s UK campaign.

“With Bolero’s contemporary new label appealing to adventurous consumers, it’s exciting to see Georgian wines in a new channel. Georgia’s 8,000-year winemaking heritage is finding fresh relevance and new fans here in the UK.”

CN Foods category controller, Olivier Freymuth, added: “We’re thrilled to be adding Georgian wines to our portfolio. Today’s wine drinkers are actively looking for something distinctive yet authentic - and Georgia delivers on both.

”We’ve chosen bold, colourful packaging to ensure real shelf stand-out and to capture the attention of curious, quality-conscious consumers.
