Aryzta Food Solutions is adding two Middle Eastern-inspired flatbread products to its food-to-go range.
The brand’s new pides - Turkish stone-baked pizza-style flatbread - include Spinach Pide with Gyros Chicken and Spinach Pide with Mozzarella, Basil & Tomato (rrp £2.75, case sizes of 18).
The products are the latest addition to Aryzta’s range and are designed to tap into demand for exotic flavours. A pide (pronounced pea-deh) is commonly eaten at street food markets in Istanbul.
Arytza is hoping to make the most of the trend for street food, which has enjoyed growth in the foodservice and retail sector.
Paul Whitely, head of marketing at Aryzta Food Solutions, said: “As with any new product that we develop, we always ensure that the end result chimes with the most current market insight.
“The data speaks for itself, and with Middle Eastern cuisine on the rise we’re confident that these new additions will pique shopper interest and help retailers to capture that all-important food-to-go market.”
Aryzta is advising retailers to utilise POS and lunchtime deals to drive footfall and interest in the new products.
