Snappy Shopper has launched 24/7 delivery capability nationwide after its successful trials in selected stores across the UK.
The newly developed functionality allows convenience stores to offer round-the-clock delivery, giving customers access to essential items 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
This technology breakthrough positions Snappy Shopper as the first convenience-led platform to bring 24/7 grocery delivery to market at scale.
Mike Callachan, CEO of Snappy Shopper, said: “This is a huge step forward for independent retail. We’ve developed and tested the technology and now we’re rolling it out to help local stores meet real, everyday needs around the clock. The technology has already delivered outstanding results for early adopters. Convenience Store Awards winner Girish’s Premier Barmulloch in Glasgow made history as the first store in Scotland to offer 24-hour grocery delivery using the new technology. Since launching the service in February 2025, store owner Girish has seen a surge in overnight orders.
In addition, his store recently hit a significant milestone, surpassing £100,000 in sales in a 30-day period, driven in part by overnight trade.
Girish said: “We knew there was an appetite for overnight delivery, but the response has blown us away. We saw 25 orders on the very first night. Now, we are serving a new stream of regular customers overnight, often buying essentials like bread, milk, eggs, and snacks.
“We’ve even installed a secure back door for drivers to make overnight fulfilment safe and efficient. It’s been a game-changer.”
While the 24/7 functionality is now available across the Snappy Shopper platform, retailers must meet eligibility requirements. A selection process will ensure only those capable of maintaining strong operational standards and customer service are onboarded for round-the-clock delivery.
“The next step is rolling this out to the right stores, in the right areas, to deliver a reliable 24/7 experience at scale,” added Callachan.
The 24/7 delivery service will operate within local licensing laws, with time-restricted products automatically unavailable during restricted hours. Snappy Shopper retailers interested in offering 24/7 delivery should contact their store contact or representative.
