Local “bossman” and corner shops will continue to sell single-use vapes despite the ban, according to the public.

A recent post from viral Instagram page imjustbait raised awareness about the ban on single-use vapes, which is set to take effect on 1 June 2025.

In just one hour, the post gathered over 15,000 likes and 290 comments, with users sharing their reactions to the looming legislation.

Commenters wrote that local shops would likely still sell single-use vapes, while others voiced concerns about the potential boost in black market vape sales.  

Responsible retailers have carried similar views in the past, warning that the ban will only encourage the illict trade.
