Landmark Wholesale has posted strong sales figures for June. The group saw a 10.5% rise in depot sales for the month, with year-to-date sales up 9.2%

Sales of licensed goods grew by 16.5%, with a year-to-date growth of 11.1%. This was backed up by own brand sales with a 16.2% sales increase and 15.1% year-to-date growth. Cigarettes had a 9.3% rise for the period (+10% YTD).

Landmark managing director Martin Williams attributed the uplifts to the wholesale group's strength in the past 12 months.

“These results reflect the continued importance of independents and Landmark Wholesale’s place as a leading supplier to this sector,” he said. “We continue to grow in an ever-changing marketplace and whilst facing challenges to ourselves as a group, recent new members such as Drinks Inc and our ongoing recruitment drive, ensure we continue to go from strength to strength.”

Williams said that he wanted to add to the group’s own brand success with new launches over the coming months. “We are looking forward to an excellent year ahead with various initiatives in the pipeline,” he added. “The launches of No.3 and-rolling tobacco and La Flamenca value-for –money Spanish table wine will help to maintain the momentum in own brand.”
