The recent good weather coupled with powerful promotions has seen trading at Parfetts Cash and Carry hit an all-time high.
The company achieved its highest ever weekly turnover figure during a its Cash and Carry Showcase week which commenced on 23 July.
Like for like sales reached £9.3m, up 6.45% on the record set in March.
Each branch also broke their individual sales record, according to joint managing director Greg Suszczenia.
“We decided to delay our traditional Showcase Week by three weeks to fully understand the impact of the CO2 shortage, ” he explained. “Aside from some great promotions, we always do our very best to ensure solid availability and the last thing we ever want to do is offer our customers strong deals, only to then let them down.
“This outstanding business performance comes on the back of yet another record trading year that saw the group end FY17/18 with total sales of £345m, up 6.8%.
“Like for like sales saw significant growth up 16% (excluding tobacco).”
