Leading figures in the Nisa Members Association Rowan Black and Krishan Joshi were appointed to the Nisa-Today’s (Holdings) Board at this week’s AGM.
The group will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting in the new year, at which it will propose changes to the company’s Articles of Association. The changes would create three additional member places on the board.
A third NMA member Anjum Khan is one of the three appointees along with Jim Amabile and Peter Sykes, both of whom were part of the rival True Nisa Members group.
These three will be allowed to attend board meetings as observers until the proposal goes before the EGM.
The NMA based its election campaign firmly on the policy of improving corporate governance at Nisa.
Meanwhile board members Andrew Bagot, Colin Graves and Alan Symonds were re-elected while co-founder Dudley Ramsden stood down as executive chairman. Ramsden willl take up the ambassadorial role of non-executive president.
