Morrisons is launching a convenience-exclusive More Card promotion across franchise Daily stores signed up to its loyalty scheme.
From 8 October, shoppers who spend £15 or more in participating Daily stores will receive an additional 1,500 More Card points.
Morrisons More Card enables customers to bank five points for every item they buy when they scan their More Card or app. Once a customer has saved 5,000 points, they receive a Morrisons Fiver which can be redeemed on a future shop.
The ‘Spend-Strech’ promotion comes after the supermarket began rolling out its loyalty scheme to franchise partners earlier this summer.
Independent retailers operating Daily stores were the first in the sector to offer customers a supermarket loyalty card.
Morrisons said it is “further strengthening its franchise offer” with over 200 new own brand lines set to be added in the next five weeks. More than 100 products will be fresh, while 30 lines will form part of its premium ‘The Best’ range, said the supermarket.
Katharine Challinor, head of retail for franchise at Morrisons, said: ”Rollling out More Card in franchise stores is part of our commitment to driving value for our customers however they shop with us. This exclusive promotion is a significant opportunity for our franchise partners, as well as a celebratory moment for us as the More Card roll-out nears completion in these stores.”
The supermarket has around 1,700 Daily sites across the UK, including 700 run by independent franchisees.
