Merseyside Police are appealing for information following a high value burglary of a business in Kirkby, where soft drinks and chewing gum worth thousands of pounds were stolen.
Overnight on Thursday last week (10 September), a logistics company on the Capitol Trading Estate in Knowsley Industrial Park was broken into, with 26 pallets of Red Bull energy drink and a quantity of Wrigley’s chewing gum stolen.
An investigation is now underway, with forensic examinations and the search for CCTV or other footage.

Detective Inspector, Steven O’Neill, said: “This high value burglary will clearly have a significant impact on the business, with tens of thousands of pounds’ worth of stock stolen.
“I urge anyone who has information or noticed suspicious vehicles parked in the vicinity to get in touch - any information, no matter how small, could assist the investigation.
“I’d also urge anyone who’s approached - including convenience stores - and offered Red Bull or Wrigley’s chewing gum on the black market to please let us know. This isn’t a victimless crime but has a knock-on effect on the livelihoods of those connected to the company targeted.”
Anyone with information that could assist with the force’s enquiries are urged to contact them. This includes dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage which could have captured something vital to the investigation.
