CEO McLean said: “I’m delighted to announce this appointment and congratulate Sonya on her new role. Her experience and leadership will strengthen our operations and support our retailers as we continue to focus on delivering for customers. While trading conditions are challenging, we are well placed to respond and drive the business forward in the months ahead.”

Commenting on her new role, Harper added: “Taking on this role is a great opportunity to build on the progress we have made in recent years. Working closely with the team, my focus will be on supporting our Spar retail partners and stores to deliver the best possible service and range for customers.”
