News UK has launched a new website to improve communications and maximise paper sales for independent retailers.

The new website,, is a free service to all independent retailers selling News UK titles - The Sun, The Times and The Sunday Times.

The site, which is now live, features News UK updates, category management advice, distribution updates for London retailers and the ability for retailers to query shortage claims, submit invoice questions or amend orders.

There is also a Retail+ partner area which is aimed at retailers keen to grow sales of News UK titles. This exclusive part of the website will offer additional category management advice and information on field support as well as promotional discounts.

News UK director of customer sales Chris Duncan said the new site would help the company support independent retailers better. “Independent retailers are the front office for half the sales we make every day,” he said. “If we don’t listen to them, customers will drift away from the product.

“The new Retail+ website is the next stage in News UK’s service to our retail partners. We have created a one stop shop for every independent retailer in the country, enabling access to the very best of our research into the industry to maximise newspaper sales. The associated Partner Programme will also provide benefits to the very proactive retailers who work collaboratively with News UK.”
