One Stop is celebrating a huge milestone as it announces it’s raised a £500,000 for the Young Lives vs Cancer charity since partnering just three years ago.
Young Lives vs Cancer is the leading UK charity for children and young people with cancer and their families. From the moment of diagnosis, its specialist social workers provide day-to-day support for each child, young person and family and the charity provides accommodation close to hospitals, where families can stay together during treatment for free.
Since 2022, One Stop colleagues have participated in a wide range of fundraising activities and challenges. From selling Care Bear merchandise and raffles, to adrenaline-filled challenges such as marathons and sky dives, the proceeds raised over the last three years has helped the charity continue to provide necessary support to those who need it most.

Jack Taylor, community and partnerships manager at One Stop, said: “To be able to raise an incredibly staggering half a million pounds for Young Lives vs Cancer is unbelievably fantastic! This shows the dedication and passion that our colleagues have in wanting to help such a truly inspiring and life changing charity. We hope that our efforts will continue to make life that little bit lighter for those children and families who are being supported by Young Lives vs Cancer.”
Sue Collins, Young Lives vs Cancer’s director of income generation, added: “To every One Stop colleague who’s taken on an event, ran the London Marathon, dived out of a plane or trekked across Africa - and to every customer who bought a Care Bears pen, keyring or pin badge - you’ve helped us reach this incredible milestone.
“By doing so, you’ve helped us make sure hundreds of families facing cancer can stay at our Homes from Home across the UK, a free place to stay nearby the hospital, where families can be together at the toughest times.”
