A store in Batley welcomed UK rapper Apache Indian (above centre) to its store on Saturday (19 July), to celebrate the launch of two new ranges
As previously reported by Convenience Store, the Boom Shak-a-Lak hitmaker chose to launch his new freeze dried sweets and also a sauces range at the store, and even turned up to celebrate the occasion himself this weekend.
The musician first broke boundaries with his unique fusion of reggae, Punjabi and a urban UK sound in the 1990s.
Store owner, Serge Notay, has long considered himself a fan. In a social post, he enthused: “As a kid, I remember his tapes on our shelves. Today, we stood side by side launching something brand new together - Boom Shak-A-Lak freeze-dried sweets and sauces.”
