BBC Magazines is running a campaign to reward independent retailers this Christmas with support for three of its best-selling titles: Christmas Good Food, Radio Times and Good Homes.
In a first for the company, a gift pack will be sent out to 1,000 retailers chosen from WHSmith's Premier Club, NFRN's Blockbuster stores, and the Northcliffe Network.
Each pack will contain a letter addressed to the retailer, explaining the content of the pack and the purpose of the campaign. There will also be Christmas point of sale material to brighten up shelves, including three shelf strips and wobblers, each branded with Radio Times, Good Food, and Good Homes logos. In addition, retailers will receive a branded pen and branded advent calendar which includes luxury Belgian chocolates.
BBC Magazines trade marketing director Martin Hoskins says: "Independent retailers' contribution to our business is one that we value greatly so we hope that by putting together this package we can both boost sales and show our appreciation."
A small number of gift packs are being held aside for retailers keen to be involved in the campaign. These can be requested by emailing contact details to ben.grainger2@bbc.co.uk.
