PayPoint took Pudsey Bear to the Yorkshire town that shares the same name on 7 November and rebranded its shops in the town as ‘PayPudsey’ to raise awareness that donations can be made to BBC Children in Need at PayPoint shops.

Shoppers can donate at PayPoint shops up to the night of the appeal show on 14 November and for the whole year afterwards

Seamus Smith, Managing Director of PayPoint, said: “We are so pleased that Pudsey took time out of his busy schedule to visit Pudsey with us that we’ve rebranded our shops in the famous West Yorkshire town for the occasion. I hope that Pudsey being there in person will help to boost donations to BBC Children in Need.

“Many people decide to make a donation on the night of the appeal show and they can do so in cash at their local PayPoint outlet, almost all of which are close to where they live and open until late in the evening.

“Paying in cash at a neighbourhood PayPoint is especially useful for young people and those unable to use plastic.”
