Nisa has launched its biggest ever charity competition offering prizes of £10,000 to 10 small charities, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Making a Difference Locally charity.

The new initiative is designed to help smaller charities attract volunteers, supporters and donations. The competition specifies that the prize money must be used to fund some form of marketing.

Any charity with an annual income of less than £100,000 is eligible to enter the competition.

Nisa’s head of charity Kate Carroll said: “‘I’m really excited to have launched this competition, it will be life-changing for 10 small charities. Through our partnership with the Small Charities Coalition we know the struggles that small charities face and spending vital funds on marketing is low priority, sometimes it’s not even a possibility.

“The £10,000 will go a long way in helping charities communicate and promote their work, helping them to reach more funders and beneficiaries. We hope the charities who win the prizes become more sustainable, and we will support them as much as possible to make that happen.”

The competition is being promoted on social media and more details can be found on the Making a Difference Locally giveaway page
