Co-op Wholesale - home of Nisa - has confirmed a five-year extension of its partnership with Ashok, the business owner of Ujima Ltd & Ash Group - a long-established retail business which has over 12 convenience stores across England and Scotland.
The business operates seven stores across the south east of England, including Greater London and five stores in Scotland covering Edinburgh, Peebles, Selkirk and Stirling. It has been a Co-op Wholesale partner for 14 years and is proudly family-run.
As part of the new deal, four stores - two existing and two future stores - will showcase the new, modern Nisa fascia and instore digital media screens. As part of this new proposition, customers will enjoy an enhanced shopping experience and access to Co-op own brand products.
Additionally, Co-op Wholesale and Ashok are working together to develop a brand new store to help continue expanding its network of highly successful convenience stores.
The partnership provides access to dedicated retail support, category expertise and sector insight from the wider Co-op Wholesale business, helping the multi-store retailer to continue to evolve its offer for local shoppers.
Shoppers, meanwhile, will benefit from access to Co-op’s unrivalled, award-winning own brand range, with more than 2,400 products available, supplied by Co-op Wholesale across key categories including food-to-go, meal solutions and everyday essentials, alongside hundreds of new products introduced throughout the year.
