Co-op Wholesale and Roadchef have today (30 September) confirmed the next stage of their multi-year partnership, in a move that will see them supply WHSmith stores at motorway service areas nationwide.
As part of a previously announced strategic partnership, Co-op Wholesale will supply a selection of ambient, chilled and frozen food and drink, a mix of branded and Co-op own brand, to 31 WHSmith stores at Roadchef sites nationwide from early October.
Ian King, director of business development and growth at Co-op Wholesale, said: “This marks an exciting next step in our partnership with Roadchef where we’re on a fantastic start and accelerating momentum. This is a reflection on the strength of our proposition, and flexibility of the model to ensure we’re bringing growth for our partners in a way that suits them and their business.”
Kevin Whitehouse, retail, procurement and supply chain director at Roadchef, added: “We’re continuously working to enhance the customer experience across our service areas. Extending our partnership with Co-op Wholesale into WHSmith stores is part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring we remain a top choice for motorists seeking convenience, variety and quality on their journeys.”
