Booker is recalling Happy Shopper Tomato Ketchup because some packs of the product may contain pieces of plastic.
The presence of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat and presents a safety risk, the Food Standards Agency said.
The affected product is sold in 440g bottles and has a batch code of 7269. It is sold in Premier, Londis and Budgens stores.
Retailers are being issued with point of sale notices which ask customers to return the affected product for a full refund.
