Nirmal Singh has a 1,500sq ft convenience store in Exeter which he says badly needs a refit. He can’t remember the last time it was done up.
The store, Heera Food and Drink, is completely independent and in a residential neighbourhood although not far from the city centre. It has all the trappings: an off licence, general grocery, fruit and veg etc. Now it needs new flooring, ceiling and aircon. He will close while the refurb takes place.
I found him a couple of companies online – GDP Design & Shopfitting and Rapeed Design – but cannot vouch for any in particular.
I did also suggest that he asked the managers of his local branches of Makro and Bestway if they could recommend anyone but there’s nothing like hearing from a fellow retailer who has been there and done that.
So we are looking for feedback please.
