Ken Batty, chartered surveyor and rating consultant, suggests that professional advice might be a good idea just make sure you choose wisely and don't fall for anyone cold-calling.

Ken warns that in tandem with the new rating list is a new transitional or phasing arrangement and if the starting point for that (ie the 2005 list) is incorrect, it will affect the arrangement and could cost you considerably more than necessary.
