Pavillion on the Park MADL Nisa Local Otterbourne

Nisa Local Otterbourne in Winchester has donated £2,000 to its local community hub, Pavilion on the Park, thanks to Co-op Wholesale’s Making a Difference Locally (MADL) charity.

The donation was made possible after the store nominated the centre for MADL’s 2025 Heart of the Community Award, with funding to support inclusive and accessible services.

“We’re proud to support Pavilion on the Park, which plays such an important role in bringing people together and supporting wellbeing in Eastleigh,” said assistant store manager Elliott.

The store has donated over £23k to good causes in Otterbourne, Winchester and the surrounding area through its participation with MADL.

Alison Stubbington, project co-ordinator at Pavilion on the Park, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have been awarded this donation and are so grateful to Nisa Local Otterbourne for nominating us. This funding will make a real difference to the services and opportunities we can offer the local community, some of these funds have already been used to help families in need through food vouchers and groceries.”

Kate Carroll, social value lead at Co-op Wholesale, added: “This is a fantastic example of how local retailers can use MADL to support projects that strengthen communities and help them to thrive.”
