Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, is celebrating 25 lucky independent National Lottery retailers who’ve been transformed into winners and awarded a total of £158,000 in its Share the Win retailer rewards initiative.
The scheme, launched in November 2024, recognises retailers who sell high tier (£50,000 or more) winning National Lottery tickets – like EuroMillions, Lotto and Thunderball, or National Lottery Scratchcards. The amount awarded to each retailer is linked to the size of the player’s win, and the scheme is open to all retailers where the winning ticketholder is happy to share details of their win.
Gold tier prizes of £10k are awarded for instore wins of £1m or more, silver brings £5k to £250k wins or over, while bronze gets retilers £2k after someone wins £50k or more.
A total of 12 independent National Lottery retailers were awarded golds, including Dervis Ali Soyler (pictured), who owns Grays All Foods in Grays. His store sold a ticket that went on to win £1m in the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker, resulting in Dervis being awarded the £10,000 prize.
Dervis said: “I’m so happy and excited – it’s such a great prize to win. I’ll use some of the money to take my family on a really nice holiday. And I’ll also be rewarding the staff for all their hard work and helping to sell The National Lottery in the store.”
Allwyn’s director of commercial partnerships and retail sales, Alison Acquaye-Acford, said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be celebrating 25 new winners! Massive congratulations to each of them. With £158,000 awarded by Allwyn to independent National Lottery retailers, we’re extending that winning feeling and good fortune further than ever before.”
In addition to the cash prizes, winning retailers will receive new in-store activation kit – including a Big Winner Made Here poster and wall plaque, and for gold tier winners, a gold Millionaire Made Here Playstation.
