Varta has expanded its range of flashlights, compact torches and portable charging solutions in time for Christmas.

The range of compact torches has four new additions, perfect for those on the go, comprising the pocket-sized Key Chain Light, Rechargeable Car Light and two Multi LED Lights, with price points ranging from £4.99 to £7.99.

Anthony Sewart, sales director at Varta Consumer Batteries UK, said: “We are finding that consumers want lighting solutions that are compact, portable and reliable. These extensions to our range tick all three boxes. All products are ideal impulse lines for grocery and convenience retailers – they will work well positioned at till point or aisle ends.”

Varta has also extended its flashlight range to include three new additions - the 3 Watt LED 3AAA, the 3 Watt LED 2AA and the 4 Watt LED 3C, which combine high performance and energy efficiency with a sleek design.

Each light beam is adjustable, with a slidable head to control the precision focus system. The prices of the torches range from £24.99 to £39.99.

The new range is ideal for both everyday use and more demanding situations. Sewart added: “The new High Optics range has been very well received by both consumers and retailers alike. It meets consumer demand for robust torches that offer excellent performance, high end design and a great price point. The sleek anodized aluminium case gives the range a style edge that we believe will be popular with shoppers as we come into Christmas season.”

Lastly, Varta has also updated its portable charger range to offer consumers a means of charging their power-hungry gadgets on the move.

The Phone Power charger range now has a bigger capacity, sleek new design and a choice of micro USB, Apple 30-pin and Apple Lightning adaptors. The portable chargers, range from £9.99 for the Pocket-Sized Mobile Charger, to £35.99 for the Indestructible Powerpack, and offer from 40% to 100% battery charge on the consumers chosen device.
