Vegan friendly brand Sweet Freedom has announced the launch of its latest innovation: Choc Shot Cherry, described as a rich, fruity syrup designed to bring a nostalgic “cherry-on-top” moment to everyday indulgence.
Tapping into the growing trend for nostalgic flavours, it draws inspiration from the classic Black Forest gateau, combining chocolate with sweet cherry undertones. The result is a versatile syrup that adds a decadent twist to everything from yoghurt and ice cream to coffees, pancakes and milkshakes.
In a move that highlights the brand’s close connection with its community, the flavour was voted for by Sweet Freedom consumers earlier this year and brought to life in just three months.
Deborah Pyner, co-founder, said: “We’re seeing a real appetite for nostalgic flavours that bring comfort and joy, and Black Forest gateau is such an iconic favourite. It’s all about adding a little moment of feel-good indulgence to everyday foods.”
