UK gift card provider Love2shop, part of the PayPoint Group, has appointed Alex Speed as its new sales director, who will oversee the commercial strategy for its business services division, “driving growth across new sectors and strengthening relationships with the company’s diverse client base,” it said.

Speed takes on the roll after nearly two decades with the company, in a move that marks “a new chapter of growth and innovation for the UK’s leading multi-retailer gift card and digital rewards brand” it added.

Speed succeeds Frank Creighton and steps into the role following an extensive career within Love2shop spanning more than 18 years. Having most recently served as head of business development, she brings a deep knowledge of the company’s markets, customers and ambitions.

Speaking of the move, Speed said: “I’m incredibly proud to take on this role at such an exciting time for Love2shop. Having been part of the business for nearly two decades, I’ve seen first-hand how our products and partnerships create real value for organisations and their people.

“My focus now is on accelerating our growth by deepening relationships with our clients, exploring new markets, and continuing to deliver the innovation and service that Love2shop is known for.”

Julian Coghlan, managing director, added: “Alex’s experience and understanding of our customers will be invaluable as we continue to evolve the business and build momentum into our next phase of growth. I’m confident Alex will play a key role in driving our strategy forward.”

The announcement comes as Love2shop prepares to celebrate its milestone 40th anniversary, with further developments and product innovations planned for the year ahead.
