An ATM has been stolen in a nightime ram raid, after a truck smashed into a convenience store in Bedfordshire, police have said.

The raid took place in the early hours of yesterday morning (1 October) in Henlow, and Bedfordshire Police have now launched an investigation.

Just after 2am, a Mitsubishi pick-up truck smashed into the store and then the burglars used straps to remove the machine, it is reported. The vehicle was left at the scene, with the suspects making off in a VW Golf or similar.

A spokesperson from the force said: “We’re asking any members of the public with any information, CCTV or doorbell footage that could help our investigation to come forward.”
