Accolade Wines has introduced an interactive website to help retailers and their staff learn more about wine and offer a range specifically tailored for their catchment area.

The new site,, features an interactive tool that generates a bespoke customer profile based on a retailer’s postcode. This profile identifies the shares accounted for by each of eight known types of wine purchasers in the area surrounding the retailer’s store, with advice on how to range and merchandise products in order to appeal to each one.

The website also features market data from Nielsen, which is updated monthly, information about wine production, popular grape varieties and wine styles, and food matching selections to help c-store staff become more confident when speaking to customers about wine.

It is free to view and register, and retailers signing up have the opportunity to order pos material, ask the Accolade Wines team a question, and enter a draw for £1,000-worth of stock.

The website is part of a wider programme from Accolade to help better educate retailers about selling wine.
