Lottery operator awards over £40k to 22 high performing retailers

Local 2U Staveley Stores in Keighley was one of Allwyn’s luck £10k winners.

Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, has awarded £40k in prizes to 22 National Lottery retailers in its latest Site, Stock, Sell online quarterly prize draws.

The draws recognise stores that demonstrate “consistently strong execution of National Lottery in-store standards,” it said.

Two retailers received the £10k top prize, with a further 20 each awarded £1,000 for achieving high scores.

The Site, Stock, Sell programme assesses a store’s National Lottery POS materials, including their Playstation, Scratchcard dispenser and signage, for their overall “sales driving ability.”

Independent retailers upload images of their POS items to the National Lottery Retailer Hub each month to receive a score out of 10 and enter the quarterly draw.

Dennis Forsyth (left), owner of Key Store, Stranraer and one of the winners of £10k, said: “I didn’t believe it when The National Lottery called, as I usually think it’s going to be bad news when the phone rings! It’s great news for us as it means that the newer car we’ve been looking to buy can now become a reality.”

Rajendrakumar Lad, owner of Local 2U Staveley Stores, Keighley and another winner of £10k, added: “This was a huge surprise because we never expected it. The money will make a big difference for our family.

“The National Lottery is really important to our shop. I hope our win will inspire others to take part in the Site, Stock, Sell incentive. It’s a great idea to receive a reward for keeping your in-store standards high.”
