Co-op Wholesale officially relaunched Sewell On The Go’s flagship petrol forecourt station (PFS) convenience store to “meet consumers’ contemporary demands and celebrate the pristine proposition,” it said.
The South Cave store in Hull, which carries Proud To Stock Co-op bus stop signage, has been refitted to the highest spec and ranged to appeal to shoppers looking for “more than the average petrol station offerings.”
Boasting a new instore bakery featuring Co-op brand goods, the launch event saw shoppers getting involved with brand activations and giveaways as well as offering support for Co-op Wholesale’s charity - Making A Difference Locally (MADL).
The charity donates funds to support local charities based directly on in-store spend. As part of the relaunch, MADL has donated £500 to two local causes, with £250 to South Cave Scouts and £250 to Jaguar U15 Girls Football team.

New signage
One of 12 Sewell On The Go sites now operational in partnership with Co-op Wholesale under its Proud To Stock Co-op signage, the store is continuing to trade well and customers have already begun commenting on the excellent product range, fit out and availability, the group said in a release.
Holly Perry, key account manager at Co-op Wholesale, said: “We’re absolutely delighted with the finished refit of Sewell On the Go’s South Cave branch.
”We’ve achieved everything we wanted to here in creating a super modern PFS outlet set up to go the extra mile.”
Patrick Sewell, director of Sewell On The Go, added: “We’re really pleased with our refit - it’s all come together so well, and the addition of the Co-op instore bakery is performing even better than planned alongside our coffee and drinks facilities.
“The process has been nice and smooth while the end result is just brilliant - we’ve long prided ourselves on having smart stores, but this truly is next level roadside retail proposition.”
