NION is launching a new format into the UK market: a dissolvable oral nicotine strip designed for adult nicotine.
NION’s thin oral strips are designed to dissolve in the mouth, requiring no device, charging or disposal once used. Just like a pouch, the strip is placed under the lip, where it dissolves within approximately 10 to 15 minutes. The introductory range is available in Mint and Lemon, across three nicotine strengths: Regular (1mg), Medium (3mg) and Strong (6mg).
Each pack contains 20 individually wrapped strips and features an integrated slot for used wrappers, with the format designed to fit easily into everyday routines.
As an oral format, NION sits outside the new Vaping Products Duty, set to come into effect on 1 October 2026.
A brand spokesperson at NION, said: “There hasn’t been much real innovation in nicotine since vapes and pouches. We realised there are loads of moments in people’s lives where adults want to enjoy nicotine but simply can’t, due to practical or social restrictions, so until now the only real option has been to wait it out. NION removes that wait - just pop one in and carry on with what you’re doing.
“The idea behind the strip is straightforward: something discreet, simple to use and easy to carry, without the need for a device or the disruption associated with other formats.
“With the new vape duty coming in, vaping is about to get a lot more expensive. At £5.99, we want NION to offer a genuinely elevated product at an approachable price, and show that innovation doesn’t have to be expensive.”
