Guinness has launched two new crafted porters which it believes will add £58m to the premium ales category over the next two years.

Dublin Porter and West Indies Porter are the newest additions to the Guinness portfolio.

Created by the Guinness Brewers Project, a group of brewers given free rein to create new variants for the brand, the two porters are based on recipes found in the brewery vault. Dublin Porter has an ABV of 3.8% and an rrp of £2.20 while the West Indies Porter has an ABV of 6% and an rrp of £2.65. Both will have an initial promotional rrp of 3 for £5.

The brand is investing £5m into the new variants which includes out-of-home, cinema, digital and POS materials.
