Fox’s Biscuits has extended its Party Rings brand to include Party Footballs.
The football-themed treats are available in 130g packs containing 20 biscuits (rrp £1.15). The packs feature new blue and green colours, with one of five different soccer-based designs on the backs of each biscuit.
The biscuits are said to be targeted at a new audience by combining the taste and design of Party Rings with the appeal of football ahead of the World Cup this summer.
The launch will be supported through digital, PR and in-store activity.
Fox’s marketing director Letty Edwards said Party Footballs would offer an alternative for mums who wanted to give their footie fan children a treat ahead of the World Cup.
“This World Cup year presents huge potential for retailers to capitalise on the increased interest in football and we’re confident Party Footballs will help deliver strong sales during this time,” she said.
